Levi is awake and speaking, but he is still confused about his situation. He pulled out his feeding tube during the night so this morning they did an evaluation to see whether or not he could swallow foods and/or liquids. He had a tough time with water, but he was able to consume some apple sauce and chocolate ice cream. The doctors said later they will try to get him to sit in a chair:) His memory is slowly coming back, so hopefully next week he’ll be able to recognize friends and family and people will be able to visit with him. We’ll will let you all know though. Thank you for checking up on him and his status.

Levi is the most awake we’ve seen him thus far since the accident:) He is still pretty delirious and confused, but was able to look around and field some of our questions earlier this evening. He said he didn’t know who I was, but knew Robyn and didn’t want her to stop giving him kisses. He also knew his toy Ninja Turtle, Michaelangelo, who has been chillin’ by the window with the rest of the crew for the last five days. It is so amazing to see his progress and hopefully soon he’ll be aware enough to move out of the intensive care unit and into a room with a view. Once again, thank you to those who have donated their time and money to help Levi and his family through this hard time. We are really at a loss for words. Thank you.

Today Levi is a lot calmer than yesterday. Although he still seems to be unaware of his situation he has retained a good sense of humor, making us laugh by doing or saying little things. He knows his last name, who the president is, that he is in Lakewood, and who Jeannie, Nevin, Anne, and I are. Hopefully he’ll come around a little bit more later on today though. I’ll definitely keep you guys updated on any exciting or serious news. Thank you again to all who have come to visit Robyn and the Rudloff family here at St. Anthony’s. We appreciate all the comments on the guestbook page as well. Keep the good vibes coming!

Levi’s fever and head pressure went down on there own after they lowered his sedation, which is amazing news:) He is calmer than yesterday, not trying to hop out of bed and not talking as much though, cause of the drugs that are still in his system. We’re just happy he is returning to his previous state of consciousness. Also, many thank you’s to Boardpusher for printing and selling boards for the Levi fund. Also to Jay “The Wizz” DeRose for personally handing out and selling the Levi “Vato” board all over Denver and surrounding areas, he is really a soldier in the battle to help Levi and his family.

The pressure in Levi’s head increased steadily yesterday because rising fluids in his head. His fever also went up because of this. Because of this they decided to sedate him again and wait for the neurosurgeon to come in to drain the fluid. This is a set back, but hopefully there won’t be too many complications like this in the future. There is no way to really know though what will happen during his recovery. All we can do is stay positive and keep the good vibes coming.

Levi is the most active he’s been thus far in his recovery. The doctors decided to drastically reduce his medication to bring him to a higher consciousness, but he is still confused and a little agitated. But he did ask Robyn to scratch his head and after he told her he loved her! So, slowly but surely Levi’s coming back to us:) Thank you to everyone who has donated their time and/or money for helping Levi and his family out, every little bit helps. We appreciate it more than you know.

Levi got the breathing tube out today. They allowed him to ween off the sedatives a little more, but was too physical with the nurses, so they sedated him again. They want him to wake up, but peacefully, not angrily. He is very confused and frustrated. Levi’s always been a strong headed guy. But until he becomes more aware and conscious, we won’t be able to really know where he’s at.
